Trump documents case dismissed

The criminal case against Donald Trump for allegedly illegally holding on to classified documents after he'd left the White House has been dismissed by US District Court judge Aileen Cannon. 

The Trump appointee held the case was unconstitutional. In her judgement she referred to the recent Supreme Court ruling that former presidents are immune from prosecution for their official acts.  

The Justice Department is appealing against the decision.
