SPICED PEACHES – Better Home & Gardens

Combine 

5 Cups sugar, 

2 cups water, 

1 cup vinegar, 

12 inches (More) stick cinnamon broken, 

2 teaspoons (more)

Heat to boiling.

Into syrup drop enough fruit (peaches, pears, crab apples) to fill 6 pint jars or more. Cook covered just till tender. Pack in hot sterilized jars, add hot syrup to ½ inch from top. Seal by water bath or other canning method.

Enough syrup for at leat 6 pints
