New York Society for Ethical Culture, the founding institution behind the Ethical Culture movement, will honor the latest recipients of the Dr. Phyllis Harrison-Ross Public Service Awards. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Lee Gelernt, Deputy Director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Immigration Rights Project, will receive the awards at the Champions of Change Program on Friday, June 7, 2019.
Additional speakers include Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), NYC City Council Majority Leader Laurie A. Cumbo, former assistant Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks and director/founder of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness Dr. Irwin Redlener, M.D.
